I don’t want to live on the moon

Don’t get me wrong, space travel is awesome, and I would love to go to the moon one day, but as Ernie from Sesame Street says in this song, I wouldn’t want to live there permanently. And now there’s even more reason to rule out the moon as a back-up for when the earth becomes uninhabitable: it seems moon dust might be toxic to humans. Continue reading


Let’s go nuclear!

Since yesterday (14 April 2012) was the 30 year anniversary of Wellington (New Zealand) being nuclear-free, I thought it would be fitting to do a post looking at nuclear power, and all the reasons why it’s not the solution to the energy crisis.
